Local insight: what works in Cornerstone homes
A few patterns we've noticed in higher-end West Calgary builds:
- Cornerstone primary closets are framed-in. Most homes have a 6×8 walk-in shape ready to be fit out — the builder leaves a single shelf and rod. The footprint is excellent; the storage is empty.
- 10-foot ceilings are standard. Don't leave a dust-trap gap above the closet. Full-height wardrobes that meet the ceiling are the move here.
- Two-tone palettes work well. Cornerstone interiors photograph well with white uppers + warm wood or taupe lowers.
- Mudrooms see heavy use. Cornerstone double-garage entries usually frame a perfect 4×6 mudroom.
